Believed to be the father of William James Beer Richards but no formal evidence to this effect, although the information from Eva, William's wife and Mabel, his sister, is quite compelling. Shop was possibly on a site that later became Mac Fisheries - 29 or 24 Butcher Row, Salisbury 1871: - Born in Shilling Okeford, Dorset, England 1881 Census suggests shop was at 5 Fish Market, Salisbury 1891 Census: - Walter is employing a Butchers Apprentice, Edward Boxell aged 14 yrs and a General Domestic Servant Annie Prichette aged 16 yrs. This is the only Walter Hart in Salisbury in April 1881.

in 1881 census it is noted that they have two female servants, which seem to indicate an element of wealth.
Priscilla and Walter William HART had the following children:
Florence E HART (1879- ). Florence was born in 1879 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. 47,48 She was a 1901: - Clerk (Butcher). 47,48 She was a 1891: - Scholar. 47 | |

Pneumonia. At some point Alice and Unknown partner to Alice Mary Richards were an unmarried couple. At some point she and Unknown - Thought to be a Scotsman were an unmarried couple.
in 1896 Alice was working for the butcher Mr Hart (possibly Walter William) who had a shop in Salisbury (possibly on a site which later became MacFisheries - 29 or 24 Butchers Row) ***.

Have concluded that info from Source 1 is incorrect and that the name was Henry not Harry, No Harry's in 1881 Census At the age of 11 Henry and his mother were witness the manslaughter of his Grandfather by Henry's father, Elizabeth' husband (Henry John Futcher) This is probably the reason Henry John dropped his Futcher christian name and used his mother's maiden name Tryhorn ***.

Buried in Wool
From early times England was noted for her woolen products and home grown wool was a major part of the national wealth.
During the 14th and 15th centuries the protection of this national product was of great importance, and an act was passed in the reign of King Charles II for the express purpose of increasing the consumption of English wool.
Subsequent to the BURIAL IN WOOL ACTS 1667 and 1678 all bodies were to be buried in wool only, unless they have died from the Plague and an affidavit sworn accordingly. The penalty for not doing so was £5. These were repealed in 1814.
It was decreed that:
"No corps should be buried in anything other than what is made of sheep's wool only; or put into any coffin lined or faced with any material but sheep's wool, on pain of forfeiture of £5."
In addition, an affidavit to that effect was required not later than 8 days after the burial.
The following transcripts (although not unique) were found in the Rothbury Parish Register.
"Elizab. Litster, Late of Low Trewitt, deceased, ye 2nd daughter of Edward Litser was buried in nothing but wooling accordyng to ye Act on ye behalf, as does appear by ye affidavit made by Edward Litster and John Vint to Mr. Thom. Collingwood, one of his Majs. Justice of ye Peace, and his certificate under his hand bearing date ye 2nd of 7br., 1678."
