Believed to be the father of William James Beer Richards but no formal evidence to this effect, although the information from Eva, William's wife and Mabel, his sister, is quite compelling. Shop was possibly on a site that later became Mac Fisheries - 29 or 24 Butcher Row, Salisbury 1871: - Born in Shilling Okeford, Dorset, England 1881 Census suggests shop was at 5 Fish Market, Salisbury 1891 Census: - Walter is employing a Butchers Apprentice, Edward Boxell aged 14 yrs and a General Domestic Servant Annie Prichette aged 16 yrs. This is the only Walter Hart in Salisbury in April 1881
